Data literacy through art at the Denver Botanic Gardens

Dr. Alex Rose, the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Niwot Ridge LTER, gave an invited talk at the Denver Botanic Gardens’ inaugural Science-Art Symposium: Mechanisms of Change.

In her talk, titled “Coloring outside the lines: making art helps people find their stories in data,” Dr. Rose shared the work that she and the Niwot Ridge LTER have done to advance data literacy in regional school children using arts and crafts.
