NWT welcomes our new limnology PRA Stephanie Dykema

Stephanie has a B.S. in Ecology and Environmental Biology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO and is currently finishing my masters in Ecology and Environmental Science after two years as a graduate student and research assistant at the University of Maine, Orono. Her graduate research looks at climate and biogeochemical shifts in Maine lakes and seeks to understand how zooplankton communities have responded to recovery from acidification and warming climate. Prior to graduate school, Stephanie spent time working for the U.S. Forest Service, and National Park Service in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming monitoring riparian vegetation and endangered fish habitat in remote streams,  restoring native plant habitats, studying native sage steppe communities, and tracking red fox behavior. She is a Boulder native, thrilled to be back in her home town and joining the Niwot Ridge community and apply her knowledge of lake ecosystems to beautiful alpine lakes.
