On a recent blustery day, Niwot researchers took Isabella Escobedo— a reporter from the Northern Colorado public radio station KUNC— up Niwot Ridge to cover our ongoing alpine warming experiment.

Isabella’s story, “How an experiment in the mountains could reveal the future of alpine plants,” came out yesterday.

More details about this turf transplant experiment, including project goals and experimental design, can be found in our NWT VIII grant proposal, “Long-term Research on the Dynamics of High-Elevation Ecosystems: A Framework for Understanding Rates of Ecological Response to Climate Change.”
