Snow School volunteer training session

NWT LTER has a great partnership with Wild Bear Ecology Center and the Winter Wildlands Alliance Snow School program. Jen Morse, Alex Rose and our “Sno-terns” have been working with Snow School for a few years now, getting young school children into the woods on snowshoes for several hours of winter science learning. We’re hosting a training session for people interested in volunteering for us this year—the director of the national Snow School program, Dr. Kerry McClay, will be coming in from Boise, ID.

Please join us on November 16th from 10am-2pm at Eldora Mountain Resort by the Nordic Center to get a  run down on the snow science curriculum, have some fun, and learn about our new partnership doing citizen science with NASA and the Snow-Ex project.

Please RSVP to alexandra.rose@colorado.edu, and send this along to some new folks with an interest in sharing our love for snow and environmental education!
